Making moves

After a very long week, today was my last day at LivingSocial. At 5 o’clock, I wrote one final e-mail to my team members, packed up my desk, turned in my ID and computer, said my goodbyes and walked away from one amazing opportunity into another. It’s crazy how much can happen in just 2 months, roughly the amount of time from my first phone interview till today. It was hard to say goodbye to my team and the guys and gals in my training class, but I’m excited to start a new adventure this Monday. I’m not sure what to expect from here on out, but I feel that it’s the right path to take. Besides the people (a-duh), here’s what I’m still gonna miss

Being right above prime food real estate

Feeling cultured every single day

Big buck hunter…

…complete with RAW THRILLS

Whales hanging from the ceiling

My nook

A serious snack stash

This board of hilarious customer quotes

And getting amped on the way up to work every morning.

Even though I’m a little bummed about leaving it all behind, there are definitely things I’m looking forward to from here on out too. Without seeming selfish, I’m most anxious to have more time for myself. This means sleeping more than 6 hours every night, being able to go on morning runs, quality time for thought and prayer, taking up yoga and Pilates again, and having time to spend on hobbies like reading, writing and experimenting with food. It also means more time for friends, family, new hobbies and neat experiences.

I’m sure one day I’ll get the itch to live the more fast-paced, metropolitan lifestyle again. Until then, I may remember the parts I’ll miss, but I’ll be thinking of all the things that make me happy and content to be exactly where I am at exactly the right time. “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy-think of such things” Phil 4:8
